I was trained for this job by a good friend and fellow designer that I met at William Paterson University. This experience has taught me many things about how imaginative digital designs turn into beautifully printed mailers, booklets, and business cards. I believe that knowing exactly how a print shop uses a design for mass production, will only work to my advantage in the future, because as I have experienced the graphic design career track so far, most designers focus only on the design and not on the production aspect. A mixture of both great design and the intention of production will serve only to save money for myself and my clients.

I taught middle school age children from Paterson, NJ, introductory graphic design concepts using Adobe Photoshop and basic web design using Adobe Dreamweaver. Each of the classes was three hours long and part of William Paterson's summer outreach program, which was funded by the state of NJ. Teaching full-time to teenagers, most of whom have never touched these programs, taught me how to get my points across simply and accurately without loosing integrity. I found the experience very enjoyable and may (time permitting) continue to teach during the summer, where I have been promised a position at William Paterson Center for Continuing Education. Because of this experience, I have been considering continuing my schooling to acquire my teaching certificate.
